Prayer for Cambridge

Heavenly Father, we lift Cambridge before You and seek Your gracious blessing on this city, and its surrounding towns and villages. We lift also its student population and ask You will bless all efforts to move on in wisdom, education, and stature. May the young grow to know You, Who has self-identified as ‘The God of Jacob’.

We thank You for the peace and freedoms we presently enjoy, and we respond to your command that we shall pray for those in authority, that they may do their duty with wisdom – and in the light of the God to Whom we all must eventually give account.

We place our community before You and ask that as we seek You so You will bless us with Your choicest gifts, that we may both serve You and thrive as a people made in Your image.

We acknowledge with awe and wonder that you have given us Your One and only Son, Jesus, Whom we are privileged to call Lord. In His Name, and by His Spirit, we humbly seek Your blessings for Cambridge in these times.
