From Darkness to Light

To follow Jesus is a conscious personal decision. It is not something “inherited”. As someone once said – “God has sons*, but He does not have grandsons*!” Each of us must make that decision for ourselves. We become His children when we determine to follow Jesus.

* Plainly this is not a gender comment. In Messiah, there is neither male nor female (Galatians 3:28). As regards today’s unique ‘gender wars’, at Lighthouse this is not a tune that we dance to. In following Jesus, these things are irrelevant. We simply accept what Jesus said: Matthew 19:4-5.

The biblical feasts provide a wonderful yearly rhythm and a clear focus for praise, worship and reflection. Remember, each ‘feast’ speaks uniquely and distinctly of Jesus.
